Miss Sushi - Valencia

On my recent trip to Valencia, my friends & I found ourselves in a restaurant with little choice so we decided to leave. My friend suggested we go to Miss Sushi, which she had been to in Madrid.

I’m not the biggest fan of sushi as I don’t like eating raw meat or fish but this place had more to offer! I have to say I was impressed & extremely satisfied.

When you enter Miss Sushi it has a very chic & boudoir feel to the place. It was different but I liked it! As you can see from the picture below you’ll know what I mean.

Food

The menu is literally like a book broken down into sections. We went thru each section writing down what we wanted to try. We ended up with 14 dishes!

Since I don’t like the raw meat & fish I found there were plenty of cooked & vegetarian options for me. Below are the dishes that I tried.

We started off with Chicken Gyoza and Panko Tempura. The panko tempura were mixed vegetables served with a Japanese mayo, which was yum!

The next round of food was the Miss Mexico Sushi & Dragon. I love my Mexican food, so seeing a Mexican style sushi was a first but it was my favourite dish! The Mexican sushi was rolled in rice & was covered with crumbs of maize & served with a chipotle mayo. The filling consisted of avocado, goat’s cheese & dried tomatoes. The Dragon sushi I wasn’t sure about but I absolutely loved it when I tried some. The dragon sushi comes with fried shrimp, asparagus and rolled in rice, which is then topped with avocado. Again this dish comes with a Japanese mayo. The final dish I tried was an egg rolled sushi with katsu chicken again drizzled with a mayo & sprinkled with onions & peppers. See below pictures.

Dessert! I have to say this was interesting & a first! Strawberry & Nutella sushi; basically rice sushi filled with strawberries & served with Nutella on top & with a dipping bowl. Strawberries & nutella go so well I wasn’t sure about the rice but it wasn’t bad at all.

The Coco Chick Review

Overall the dishes I had were all really nice & tasty! I only tried a fraction of them & my friends who do eat raw fish had a lot more, which they loved.

I would definitely go back to Miss Sushi if I was to go back to Spain. The restaurant has plenty of options for the fussy eater as well as vegetarians. Price wise it was reasonable, considering between the 3 of us we ordered 14 dishes & a bottle of champagne the bill came to €100.

There a fair few dotted around Spain so if you're planning to visit check out their website to see if they have any nearby.
