Backpacks in the past have always been seen as the common nylon school bag, however backpacks have evolved over the years.

As you’ve probably seen, backpacks over the last few seasons are now a key statement piece to have as part of your accessories. They can range from high street prices to thousands of pounds!

I have to say I’m quite glad there are more feminine & fashionable pieces as backpacks. After having the luxury of driving to work for 8 years I soon learnt carrying a heavy handbag on a rammed tube was just not working. Rush hour meant no seat & a heavy load, which was not balanced evenly. This caused a lot of discomfort & pain to my lower back.

Not only do the recent backpacks solve my solution for a bag to commute with but I also found it's great for travelling abroad. It allows you to fit a lot more than a handbag but also without having to carry an unsightly large nylon backpack. Any shape or form of a bag is a key accessory that completes your outfit. It’s essential to have the correct piece. For example wearing a pair of high waisted denim shorts & a bodysuit with nylon backpack really doesn’t work. However lets say having a cute leather foldover backpack changes the whole look!
